👋🏽 Hello! My name is Dorian (he/him/il). I am an artist across disciplines in three dimensional scale bringing the Southwest design of my hometown Santa Fe, NM to miniature spaces. I have a B.A. and over a decade of arts administrative experience. My creations manifest places of belonging and affirmation inaccessible to me on a real life scale. My artistic philosophy is influenced by Beverly Buchanan and her inspiration from Bell Hooks’ “homeplace” concept. My global life further leverages Alexander Girard’s “All the world is hometown,” a big Santa Fe artistic influence.

I won annual regional competitions for artistic features on the cover and within the pages of the Santa Fe Opera Youth Night at the Opera programme circa 2002-2005. I judged costumes on national adjudication panels in the States. I co-founded one of the ‘75 Top Cosplay Blogs’ on Feedspot circa 2014-2021, covering national conventions as press with features in Cosplayzine, ClexaCon’s online Press Room, and the Cosplay Savant column of FangirlNation Magazine. In addition to this artistic practice, I currently work in wardrobe on IATSE Local 210 shows, and display and table with the Miniature Enthusiasts of Edmonton.
